Mini Scrapbooks are cute and much less time consuming to make compared to a traditional scrapbook. These mini scrapbooks are also known as accordion scrapbooks, explosion scrapbooks, and squash books. I call them cute!
Tips for making according scrapbooks
I made a mini scrapbook for the BF before he moved to China, and my friend, Annie, made me one for my birthday. As you can see it was 2006 (way before the ol’ blog).
1. Mini picture collages
You will need to make mini pictures for this project. PicMonkey.com makes it really easy to make a collage. Save the collage to your computer and then upload it to where ever you usually print photos.
2. Scraps
Squash books are great projects to use up all of your scraps. Scrap ribbon, paper, trim… save al of the tiny things.
3. Scoring tool
If you’re planning to make more than one, I’d absolutely invest in a scoring tool. It makes folding so much easier and more precise. Here is my favorite scoring tool. I love that the scoring tool doubles as a paper trimmer!
These are fun gifts for someone who is going away for any period of time since they don’t take up much space. Happy scrap booking!
