I’ve been crushin’ on this rug since my sunny days of high rise apartment living in Florida. My Florida IKEA was out of the Stockholm rug for the entire year I lived there or she would have been mine! (I ended up with a super sale rug from Target that we are still using, so no complaints.) But, guess what friends, the IKEA Stockholm rug is on sale for $199 for the 6 x8 and $299 for the 8 x 11. That’s $100 bucks of off the regular price, y’all! Oh and this post is in no way sponsored by IKEA, it’s 100% my own little obsession.
IKEA Stockholm Rug in 18 rooms
One thing I love so much about the IKEA rug is that it goes with bazillions of styles. I’ve rounded up this rug up in 18 settings, and it looks amazing in all of them. From a spunky kids playroom to a super sleek living room. It works with all colors and (almost) all decor. It’s kind of amazing. Check it out…

2. Sleek and clean
3. Vintage glam
4. Eclectic
5. Cozy with color pops
6. As a hallway runner

7. Whimsical kitchen

9. Traditional and fun
10. Super sleek
11. Bright and cheery
12. Minimilist
13. Simple, cozy, bedorom

18. As simple as it gets
So, what do you think? Would the Stockholm Ikea rug work to plop down in your living room right now? I almost bought it for our current dining room, but I think it’s one bad feature is that it needs a rug mat underneath, it’s not one of those super soft, cushy rugs, ya know? The IKEA rug I ended up with is perfect for eating on every day, does not need a rug mat, and it was significantly cheaper than the Stockholm. (Here she is at IKEA and here is a very similar rug on Amazon.) I even almost bought that sucker for the nursery, but it didn’t make the cut due to softness.
Regardless, I still love the IKEA Stockholm rug. What’s your fave setting above? I heart 7 and 11. Oh and that amazing playroom in #1!

I think 11 and 14 are my favorite. I have been debating about getting one of these kinds of rugs forever!
