The silhouette was such a time saver for sign making… I made these 4 in about an hour. I even had the BF make one for the front door!
I used the cut out version and glue dots to stick it on a blank sheet of card stock. Voila, a perfect sign! I saved the sailboat cutouts to glue on other baby Joyce doily banner…
I use these Elmer’s glue dots for everything… they don’t leave the yucky glue bubbles that liquid glue sometimes leaves.
I punched 2 holes in the top and tied household twine that I used from the hex nut bracelet craft to hang the signs. I also used the Silhouette and glue dots to make the clothespins…

I got the flip flops from Old Navy on dollar flip flop day! I don’t like wasting paper, so I threw a few of these on the bottom of the “thanks for sailing by…” sign. I glued them to popsicle sticks and stuck ’em in my Good Will craft containers…
just dumped out the goodies and filled with shells…

I love using doilies and yarn as garland, and I decided to add a little personalization. The silhouette made that super simple…
I use doilies and fabric to make all kinds of garlands. Best part? I save most of my garlands and use them again and again.

PS: I heard silhouette is coming out with a bigger better machine called the silhouette cameo! It will start shipping in October… just in time for the holidays 🙂
