I have given my mom the same gift 10 years in a row. Seriously! I make her a Snapfish calendar and she claims it his her favorite Christmas gift each year. Having an annual gift for someone makes gift giving so easy. I actually blogged about the calendar I made my mom back in 2010, just a few months after I stated C.R.A.F.T. I love the floral theme for the annual 2019 Smith Family Calendar.
Snapfish makes the design process simple and fun. There are so many more choices than there were 10 years ago! There is a design for every taste and style. My mom loves flowers, so for the past few years I’ve used floral themes. This year I used “Watercolor Year” which is a mix of watercolor florals and foliage to go with each month of the year.
I also love that I can add up to 12 pictures on a single calendar page. I am the oldest of 6 kids, so I try my best to share the calendar space with my siblings, their significant others, and the grand kids. My mom loves that I include all of our birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions on the Snapfish calendar. (My brothers June wedding in Costa Rica made this years calendar!)
On the big family note, I love that Snapfish makes uploading pictures from Instagram, Facebook, or my computer super simple. I don’t always have pictures of everyone on hand, so I typically grab a few pictures from every siblings Instagram account to include on the annual calendar gift.
Another tip for making the calendar easier is to upload pictures to a Snapfish photo album throughout the year. If I spend the weekend with my sister in May, I always try to upload a few pictures from the weekend right after it happens so that when it comes time to make the calendar, I don’t forget any cute ones!
My second favorite gift to give family members are photo mugs. Andy’s family loves two things very much: coffee and our kids! I gifted photo mugs of Maxwell before Mila was born, so this year I’m giving the Mila mug to Andy’s crew. How sweet is this princess Mila picture?
This year, I made a few extra mugs for my family with all 4 of the grand kids. Snapfish makes it really simple to add fun graphics like the, “But first coffee” on the mug in the picture below.
You know what else I love? My mom saves her calendars! They are almost like photo albums to us at this point. When we’re all home, we whip out the calendars from years past and reminisce about our adventures together.
