Who doesn’t love chocolate chip cookies?! Chocolate chip cookies are always a winner in my book, and this bag of Tate’s Bake Shop cookies are, hands down, our families family favorite store bought cookie. I know Maxwell and Mila’s teacher love chocolate because I always insist that their teachers fill out this “Teachers Favorite Things” worksheet in the first week of school! So, this year for end of year gifts, I decided to modify this first day of school “One Smart Cookie” printable into an end of the year gift for all 7 seven of the kiddos teachers!
Here’s what you need to make cookie teacher gifts
- White card stock
- Stapler
- Scissors
- Bag of Tate’s cookies (You can use any cookie, but I highly recommend these!)
- Ribbon or yarn
How to make cookie teacher appreciation gifts
It’s fair to note that Tate’s cookies come in lots of flavors. Chocolate chip is hands down my favorite, but they also make a gluten free version that I’ve been told is incredible. My second favorite Tate’s flavor is the walnut chocolate chip cookies.
Step 1- Download the free one smart cookie printable
To download the “Thanks for making me one smart cookie” free printable, just enter your name and email address below and the free file will be delivered to your inbox! The cookie teacher bag toppers come 2 to a page and is made to perfectly fit on the top of a Tate’s cookie bag.
Step 2- Print
For best results, use white card stock to print the bag topper. When it comes to color printables, I always print at Staples only because my home printer never seems to have color ink!
Step 3- Sign
The signature step can be obviously be done before or after the cutting out the free printable step. Maxwell and I did these jobs simultaneously. He signed and I cut!
Step 4- Cut & Assemble
Now, cut each bag topper out by trimming just outside of the dotted line. The easiest way to assemble is to simply staple the topper right on top of the Tate’s cookie bag! I’ve found the easiest way to add ribbon is the staple a long peice of ribbon to the bag topper all at once. Then, tie the ribbon in a bow and voila!
Maxwell and Mila are pretty excited to give their teachers a treat on the last day of school. Along with the bag of cookies, we are giving each of their main teachers a gift card to Target and a hand written thank you note. Also, how cute is Maxwell’s self portrait he brought home from school?
