I was inspired to patch my own jeans after getting a pair of holy jeans back from the dry cleaner while living in Beijing, China. The funniest part, I did not even asked to have them patched! I really liked the look of the patch, and started patching my own pants in the same fashion.

My jeans were sew much fun to patch…just zig zag the stitch all over the patch of old denim. I don’t know about you, but my iron on patches occasionally fall off, the zig zag stays forever! I am very happy to have my favorite jeans back in working order! Oh and here is an easy way to patch a whole in the knee!

So great! And timely! I just got a hole in my favorite pair. It's in a spot that can't be pulled off as intentional so I think I'll try this. Or actually, I'll ask the tailor to try this because I don't actually sew…yet:)

I have never thought about sewing over the patch like that, very cute and fits right in with the worn jean look. Thanks for linking up!

They look cute. Back in the day I used to do this to my cutoffs & jeans then embroider lazy daisy stitch flowers over the stitches. They looked very cool and I got alot of compliments. Way back in the day? Think sixties and seventies.
