About the only thing I love doing more than crafting is crafting with others! I mean crafting alone is pretty awesome, but crafting with 20 other peeps (and taking a breather from your adorable, but needy 2 month old baby for an evening) is pretty dang exciting! Oh and Mallie, the Cricut Explore™ genius, brought 2 machines and a ridiculous amount of cutting material to let us play with! #CraftHeaven
Here’s the craft we made… it’s cloud juice, y’all! My favorite kind of juice! I uploaded a cloud and a raindrop (using this tutorial) and cut out tons of vinyl for everyone to use on my fave water bottle. Everyone put their own twist on it, which was fun! There were a few dinos, and even a dino that ate a turtle, ha!
Here’s the hungry dino water bottle… see the turtle in his belly? Ha! That’s the beauty of the Cricut… you can create whatever the heck you want!
And what craft party is complete without treats! After I decided to make cloud juice bottles, I figured it would be fun to keep up the rain theme! You know how I love cheesy sayings, so this was the perfect opportunity to give my treats extra cheesy rain/cloud names! We had rain sticks (veggie sticks and dip), cumulous dip (hummus and pita chips), hail stones (caramel popcorn), and cloud cookies! Oh and Laffy Taffy, because I take any excuse to buy a few bags of Laffy Taffy! (You might remember some of these decorations from my baby showers… black and white shower and twinkle little star shower!) The food name cards were made with the Cricut Explore… that craft took me all of 2 minutes! Gotta love that Cricut Explore machine.
So, after everyone got to the Burlap Bag (PS: adorable store if you are ever in Austin!) I did a short tutorial explaining how to make the cloud juice bottles. On a side note, I’m really into pirate pants right now. It’s the perfect post baby pant (read: elastic waist band) and they are beyond comfortable! Anyone else?
And then everyone went to work! I made lots of new crafty friends… gotta love that. There’s Jessie and Cristie and Julie and Krystal and Julie and Miranda!
Lost of action around the craft table, and that’s Kara with her dino water bottle! Chelsy has Max’s girlfriend strapped to her chest, she’s just 3 days younger than Max baby! And then there is Tisa and her cute daughter crafting it up!
And here is the super sweet Cricut genius herself, Mallie, before everyone arrived! She was a busy bee working those Cricut Explore™ stations!
The little hello iPhone case is another project a party goer made on the fly. Love it! And that’s Lorie, Annie, and Rachelle! And Julie on the computer hard at work on her Cricut masterpiece!
Anyone else crafting with their Cricut lately? Wearing pirate pants? Love cloud juice? Anyone dying to get their hands on the new Cricut Explore?
