Note: This project post is a part of a paid marketing campaign with Snap. Although this post is sponsored the project idea and all opinions expressed are my own.
Another note: Baby D’s due date (3-15-14) has come and gone, y’all! I’m still prego, here’s the giant belly as proof!
Instead of the traditional baby book, I thought it would be fun (and easier) to keep up with baby milestones in a calendar! I made this calendar online back in December. I decided to do an 18 month calendar for this project. So, the calendar includes part of the pregnancy and one full year of Baby D’s life (October 2013- April 2015). I used lots of fun (and new to me!) Amy Tangerine products to spruce up the super simple calendar (love that feather paper)! I also used random washi tapes I had on hand. Here’s the front cover of the DIY baby memory calendar.
My very favorite product ended up being these super skinny Amy Tangerine washi tapes! Aren’t they cute? Cute tape make anything better, don’t ya think? The clothes pins are fun too and and easy way to attach pictures or cards to your calendar.
Since I made the calendar before the baby was born, I did not print pictures on every month. I only printed pictures up until February 2014. For December 2013, I decided to list a few of the names we were thinking about and added some of that awesome skinny washi! Oh and as for the name thing, we still have not 100% decided, and just for the record, King is family name.
I dedicated one month to both baby showers. The black and white baby shower and the modern star shower! I attached invites, party favors, pictures, and even a little part of one of the games! See where it says “shower games” on the gold tape? That was a fun little shower game Annie thought up! Those are nursery rhymes and kid songs, the one with the sheep is Ewe+ Arr M+ eye + Sunshine= You are my sunshine! Get it?! Can you guess the other 2 in the pictures?
I used the calendar to record fun little pregnant things I did not want to forget, and I will also use it to record baby D’s firsts.
Have you ever heard of the Amy Tangerine Plus One paper craft collection? They will be available for sale on HSN on March 24! The collections will be available in five discounted bundles starting at just under $2o bucks. Holla! Bundles include: a basic kit, an embroidery kit, an embellishment kit and a stamping kit. You want that skinny washi!
Oh and the sold out Plus One Project Life Mini Kit will also be available at a discounted rate. Are you a scrapbooker? I’ve made a few altered scrapbooks and mini books in my day. Usually based around an event like living in China, our wedding. You can see them here, here, here, and here. Anyone else do a memory calendar for baby?

It is a great idea. Katie, project life scrapbook is good too. Like Katie said, there will be pressure to update it everyday. Once a week might be easy to do.
In my blog, I try to do 5 mixed media projects a week.
