Halloween 2020 was not business as usual, but our street pulled it together and created a socially distanced Halloween extravaganza. Sugar induced fun was had by all! Instead of our usual Halloween parade, we had candy scattered sidewalks, candy sticks in the grass, and bagged candy galore. My favorite part of Halloween is costumes, and this year I did not do my part, ha! It’s a good thing I have uber creative friends. I give you the best DIY Halloween costumes 2020 had to offer!
This year Maxwell declared he would be a skeleton/ pirate. He has a thing for a double costume. (Last year he was a super, golden hammer?!) We looked at multiple skeleton costumes, and he ended up choosing skeleton pajamas from Target. (I love the idea of pajamas as a costume, it will get tons of use!) I’m pretty sure pajamas were chosen because they glowed in the dark. For the pirate part, I bought these pirate accessories, but he’s not wearing them in this picture.
Mila was passionate about being a bunny. Not just any bunny though, the Easter Bunny! She insists the Easter Bunny is white, so we bought a white long sleeved leotard and this set of bunny accessories that included the tutu. She carried an Easter basket instead of trick or treat bag and handed out Easter eggs to kids. It was adorable!

Dunkin’ Donuts costume
My bother and sister in law crafted up this punny cuteness and I’m impressed!

Baby Baybel
Julia is the 2020 costume queen and did another fun food costume for her sweet girl. She turned her adorable baby into this Baybel! For more pictures and details, check out her instagram.
Shrimp on the the Barbie
On the food note, this couples costume crafted by my cousins friend in California wins the cleverest costume of 2020! It’s a shrimp on the Barbie and it’s 100% handmade. Check out JJ’s Instagram for more pictures and videos of this amazing costume.
Forrest Gump costume
Cammy rocks the family Halloween costume every year! I love the 3 Forrest Gumps and Jenny costume this year. Red Bubba Gump Shrimp hats, blue plaid button downs, and khaki pants are the essentials for a Forrest Gump costume.
Tiger King and Carol Baskin Costume
Hey all you cool cats and kittens, Lindsey, from the Nanny League turned her adorable twins into Carol Baskin and Tiger King!
Trump costume
How amazing is this Trump costume? The yellow hair, the orange skin, the white under the eyes, the way too long red tie?! It’s so good!
