Halloween is right around the corner, and I’ve got a fun, easy, healthy Halloween snack idea for the preschoolers in your life. Keyword: easy! Maxwell is snack friend at school this week and I decided to get festive in the name of Halloween. Y’all know I love a good DIY costume, and this year I’ve resorted to crafting costumes for food, ha! Costumes for people are a lot more work. I know I won’t be able to resist and my family will certainly be dressed in some ridiculous Halloween family themed costume greatness! But, I don’t have that together as of yet. (Check out our family costumes form the years pasts here.)
These mummy food pouches are as easy as it gets.
Here’s what you need to make food pouch mummies:
- Food pouches
- Masking tape
- Self adhesive google eyes (I bought the stick on ones as opposed to the ones you have to glue on.)
To make this healthy Halloween snack, lightly wrap the masking tape around the food pouch. Next, add a set of self adhesive google eyes. It’s really that easy! Here are 3 little mummies all wrapped up and ready for school!
If you’re looking for more simple, healthy Halloween snack ideas, I did the same mummy wrap job on raisin boxes last year. Here’s a great deal on mini boxes of yogurt coated raisins.
If you’re still looking for more healthy Halloween snack ideas, here’s a pumpkin made with baby carrots and plums!
And here are 34 more Halloween party food ideas. Lots of healthy and lots more not healthy, but extra cute things you can do to spunk up your Halloween party table!
