Raise your hand if you are a maniac pinner. Me too. Raise your hand if you want to be a maniac doer. Me too! I’ve done a handful of pins from my pin boards, like this monogramed Christmas wreath, bu that was only because I got a kick in the butt from the Pinterest Challenge last fall. I’ve pinned 4000+ projects, and I’ve done like 5. Yikes.
Want to be a doer and make this mosaic mirror… with me, The Home Depot team, and a step by step tutorial? You do? Perfect! Attend a Do- It- Herself (DIH) Workshop at your local Home Depot on Thursday, February 21 at 6:30p! Update: I’ll be co-hosting the Home Depot in Georgetown on Rivery Blvd (#6538). It would be extra fun to learn how to make a mosaic mirror and meet YOU! On a side note, I made a super cool mosaic table out of dishes once, with my mama. I used the table all throughout college!
I’m super excited to partner with The Home Depot and promote Do-It-Herself (DIH) workshops! This is going to be the kick in the butt we need to start doing. No more excuses! I went to my first DIH workshop in Florida last October with Eliesa and Jackie. Oh and I totally suggest using a Do-It-Herself Workshop as a reason to meet up with other bloggers! Last fall we learned about all things kitchen renovation. The Home Depot showed us multiple ways/products to makeover countertops and revamp cabinets. Here I am practicing my tiling skills for a backsplash:
It’s a new year, and it’s time to get another kick in the butt to start doing! Mark your calendars for February 21st from 6:30- 8p, and attend the free Home Depot Do-It-Herself Workshop at your local Home Depot to learn how to make mosaic mirrors! Here’s what I love about the DIH workshops:
- They’re free!
- It’s hands on, and in my opinion, that’s the only way to really learn!
- You can ask an expert all the questions you want.
- Did I mention the workshops are free! You can bring anyone you’d like, boys are welcome too!
Update: Here’s the re-cap post of the DIH Workshop!

I actually live in College Station, and went to one of the DIH workshops in the fall, but it was disappointingly not hands-on at all. I’m so excited about you doing one here that is actually hands on!

Yay College Station! They might make me co-lead in Austin, I’ll keep you updated 🙂 And either way, I’ve been told that all of the DIH workshops will be hands on this time!

Thanks so much for sharing this. I love anything FREE! We used to take my brother to the kid workshops. It would be so much fun for my mom and I to go to DIH together. So excited!

I love the monthly Kid’s Workshop that Home Depot does as well. It’s totally free, and my daughter LOVES building all the cool wooden toys, structures, etc with her daddy!
