We moved from a two-bedroom to a one-bedroom place back in February 2012 (more on that here). The second bedroom now lives in pieces in a nook in the living room, under the bed and a (scary) hallway closet (more on that here). I spend a lot of hours in this little living room nook blogging it up, and it’s about time I spruced up the stacks of papers and post-it accumulation madness. I got rid of the receipt clutter with the help of this nifty contraption (more on that here). I’ve mentioned it before, but just in case you’re new here…I have 2 jobs: I’m a full time blogger and have a part time (mostly work-at-home) job as a social media marketer at EDENS. Thus why the file folders are labeled “C.R.A.F.T.” and “EDENS”
Martha, we’re on a 1st name basis {wink, wink}, sent me a giant box of goodies from Martha Stewart Home Office™ with Avery™. The line is only available at Staples, but you can buy most of the items online, here! (Holiday shipping and wrapping products are only in-store)
Just for fun, I put all the gift wrapping supplies neatly in the desk organizer and look how much fit in the drawer:
A few of my favorite things from the line include the chalkboard labels, magazine files, wall pockets, and planner. The chalkboard labels are cute, re-usable, and stick to everything, what’s not to love? For me, the magazine files are perfect for my small desk because I can keep the clutter standing up instead of spreading out. Now, organizing the blog is a tricky matter (more on that here), and my method includes writing everything down from twitter chats to post ideas. E.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. goes in this folder. This folder needs a special spot.
She found a great home in a Martha Stewart Home Office with Avery wall pocket. Here she lives:
Here’s the whole office nook from afar:
Martha’s planner is awesome sauce too. I like that it has a wire binding, full page calendar spread (with BIG squares for writing), and sturdy monthly tabs for easy month flipping. Oh, and it has fun little reminders, like on January 6th you should recycle your Christmas tree or a friendly reminder that “mid winter is a good time to waterproof leather shoes and boots”.

My desk is begging to win – hopefully she can enter! She’s desperate to get organized and her junk drawer is overflowing! Hopefully, I can take her on a shopping spree to Staples where she’ll be in organizing glory.

File papers in organized MS files as soon as you receive them so I don’t build up an unmanageable pile that is overwhelming! Thanks for a chance to win and have a great day!

My desk is so messy that I can barely move my mouse back and forth. Any and all of those would make my office a much easier place to work! If I could attach a photo to prove it I would. LOL

Ooommmmgggg I’ve been trying to figure out a way to make THAT EXACT SHAPE tags in chalkboard (I don’t have a cameo) for mason jars with homemade goodies in them and I couldn’t find anything. I didn’t know these existed!! Unlucky for my job, we have a DB account set up with Staples ; )

I love the Martha Stewart/Avery partnership! We actually turned our office back into a bedroom and lost all that storage and organizational space, so I’m streamlining and attempting a mobile office until we get it back. The document bands, desk accessories, and all the labels woud be perfect!

My pantry is an embarassing mess. I have unlabeled vacuum containers with who knows what in them. I would buy the chalkboard labels and take care of that business.

Okay I know this is totally dramatic and if you are like me a tear jerker but…short story long as I say 4 years ago my friend’s 19 yr old daughter died, suddenly from a wisdom tooth surgery. Their family fell apart. fast forward four years my friend just got diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that has already spread throughout her body. When asked what she most needed she tearfully confided that after her daughter’s death they became borderline hoarders and wants more than anything to, literally get her things in order but was too overwhelmed to begin so I took on the task we started yesterday with baby steps and I told her about the cute teal Martha Stewart products I saw at Staples I wanted to use and viola here today is your giveaway so no doubt what I would use it for I would start with the accordion files and go from there. I not only want to organize it for them but I want it to look fun and bright I think these are perfect!!
