Well, I was really 38 weeks and 5 days when these pictures were taken. But, who’s counting?! And if you compare today’s belly to my 32 week preggo belly with Maxwell, wowzers.
Another fun fact: Today is Andy and I’s 4 year wedding anniversary! (We’ve been together for 10 years as of last month, what the what?!) We got married in our living room in Florida on 2/22/2012 with 4 guests… It was simple, sweet, and perfect for us. And I seriously can not believe that that was 4 years ago. For lots of “wedding” fun, be sure to check out:

All of that to say, I can’t imagine life without Andy. I’m pretty lucky I found him 🙂
Back to maternity pictures we took this weekend with the ever awesome Sarah of Sarah Schiffman Photography. Our little photo sesh was a fancy version of a typical weekday evening in Casa de Dorobek. By fancy, I just mean Maxwell wore a collared shirt and I wore a dress, but Andy actually came straight from work, so he’s in his everyday clothes. I love that Sarah captured the sweetness that I don’t always notice or appreciate in our everyday. Has anyone ever had a photographer come over and capture morning or bedtime routines or dinner or some other everyday happening? After seeing these, I would love to have another everyday routine picture session at some point! Because we definitely don’t have enough pictures around here, ha! (Scroll down to the parking garage pictures to see what I mean!)
Candid Maternity Pictures with Sarah:

We started out feeding the ducks blueberries, and for the record ducks love blueberries! Thank you, Maxwell, for that discovery.
Duck feeding only lasts about 7 minutes before Max remembers there are “digs” within sight and he must see them now. Digs are any big machine that “beep beep” and/or have a digger attachment. Luckily, there is plenty of construction happening in this park and Max loves every second of it. Side note: Andy got me this necklace for Christmas, and I’m so happy I decided to throw it on last minute.
This is the wall of the Children’s Museum we frequent. I realized how fun this wall is for pics a few weeks ago when Andy met Max and I another day.
I love that Andy and I look a little crazy in this one. We are both a little dumbfounded that someone is going to let us be the parents of two! And Max? He still isn’t quite sure what to think about all of this “big brother” talk. When we read the big brother book, and at the end there is a picture of a mom, dad, big brother, and baby… Maxwell can point to the Mommy and the Daddy, but when you ask him to point to Max, he points right at the baby!
After our quick pit stop at the red wall, we went to one of Maxwell’s very favorite spots in the park, the top of the parking garage. Great views of all of the digs, fenced in wide open cement space that is perfect for anything with wheels, and best of all, no one else is ever up there! Not to mention, the views of downtown Austin and the sunset are pretty awesome. Sarah and I sat on the blanket and chatted while Max and Andy ran around jumping from every. single. cement light pole. I snapped a few pictures with my phone, but they did not look like this.
Max came back for snacks and I whipped out the big brother book to show Sarah his “trick”!
See all of the “digs” below and those black tarps on the fence, that’s why started coming up to the parking garage! Otherwise, I have to put Max on my shoulders and stare at the black tarps so that he can see over the fence, ha! Not to mention, I have to turn sideways so the belly doesn’t rub on the fence. It’s all kinds of awkward and uncomfortable.
He saved a few blueberries for himself.
And then he tried to throw his snack container over board. I love how Sarah captures all of these little cute/ sweet/ silly moments. I mean look at my expression! It is so, so nice to not worry about being a crazy camera lady and just enjoy the moment. Not to mention, pictures of the 3 of us are priceless.
Melt my mama heart. Look at those tiny hands. And Andy’s happy face 🙂
You can not runaway from Mama’s kisses!
And then he did this. Cue the tears.
I love bare belly pictures. Max was trying to show me his, but got distracted by the digs below. You can see one of him actually showing me his belly here.
And then Max and I did a little playing! I love this one. His hair! (Reminds me of this hair on our 2015 Christmas Card!)
This picture of me and my 2 babies makes me so happy. I seriously can not thank Sarah enough.
And just for fun, Sarah also took our Chrsitmas card pictures and the pictures for Maxwell’s big brother shoot. Just curious, do you like candid shots or posed or both? Did you do anything fun for weekly or monthly pictures of your newborn? I can’t decide!

I love these pics! And I must know the location of that red wall… I love candids, I love capturing this beautiful time, so happy for you that you have these pictures. I’ve been thinking of you so much lately, and keep forgetting to send you a text to see how you’re doing. Leap day baby would be so fun!
