Coffee and chocolate my are BFF’s. It’s tasty and caffeinated and just plain delicious! I typically drink hot coffee, but this International Delight Iced Mocha Coffee is perfect for summertime! After I drank a few bottles of the tasty goodness, I decided to make a little craft… I give you my recycled planters /succulent vases made out of International Delight plastic coffee containers! Pretty spunky, right?!
Here’s the tasty treat in it’s original form:
This is such a simple, cute, and functional craft to make… the kids could totally help! First, cut off your plastic bottles at different heights. I just used scissors!
Next, I used thin neon colored duck tape and my handy dandy scissors to cut strips and triangles. Then, just start taping to your plastic. Voila! Oh and then, of course, you have to plant your plants! I heart succulents, so I used those. It’s the one thing I can keep alive!
One little tip, tape over the edges of the plastic. Aren’t they fun? And free! And recycled! And bright and cheery… my kind of craft! AND I got to drink 4 iced mocha coffees! (They come in containers of 4, even though I only used 3 for the craft!)
Have you ever crafted with empty plastic containers? Do you love mocha flavor coffee? What’s your favorite summer time coffee flavor? I’d love to hear…

Looks like an all-around delicious project. I could totally do this with my boy- I could drink the coffee and he could decorate the “pots”.
