I remember exactly were I was when I heard the news. Do you remember?
I was a senior in high school… Annie was staying with my family, we woke up the morning of 9/11/2001 to my TV alarm, and the world trade center was the breaking news…I watched the 2nd plane crash into the tower, live on TV. They replayed it over and over and over, and we watched coverage on the news all day at school.
The following pictures are from the museum at St. Paul’s Chapel, across the street from the World Trade Center site.
Take a few minutes to look at the 9/11 memorial blog…p.s. this realistic interactive time line that explains exactly what happened the morning of 9/11.

Jamie,
Thank you for posting the pics of the Chapel. It has bothered me that the media has "missed this story." Talk about a modern day David and Golith story. We had family at the Pentagon that thankfully survived. I have wanted to do a scrapbook of 9-11 for them, but the airline lost my camera that had my NYC pictures. Would you be willing to share files? http://visionsofpaper.blogspot.com/

I was in high school, sitting in my math class when it happened. It feels like so long ago. My teacher was pretty upset…she had friends that worked at the pentagon.

I was driving to class-my junior year of college. I heard on the radio that there was "an accident" and a place crashed into the twin towers. By the time I got to class, they had changed it to the theory that it was a terrorist attack. We all sat there stunned. The student union was crowded that day with us surrounding the tvs-no one went to class.

I was in college and left class early to go to work. I was stopped at a red light. A song by Papa Roach was on the radio when they interrupted to broadcast what happened. To this day, anytime I hear that song I remember the exact moment I heard about the horrific attack.

I was living in Arlington, VA, at the time, within a mile of the Pentagon. I had gotten to work and was settling in when I heard it over the radio. I went down the hall to the lounge where there was a TV and a bunch of people from various offices on the floor were already watching the coverage. We watched with horror as the second plane hit, many of us having partner offices in NY.
My boss sent me home not long after that. What normally was a 20 minute drive took over 2 hours because I had to fight my way toward the Pentagon. When I got home I watched Peter Jennings the entire day and listened to the sound of fighter jets and helicopters overhead. Those jets and helicopters lasted for weeks.
I'll never forget.

I had a one-week-old newborn. We woke up and went to the living room where my parents were watching television. They told me that my husband had called them from work and told them to turn on the television. As I stood there holding my daughter, I saw the second plane crash into the second tower.
