So far in our little toilet paper tube roll crafts series I’ve made an A is for anteater, B is for Beaver, and C is for cat. Today D is for dog!
So far, all of my toilet paper roll crafts are fairly similar, with a head made out of a cereal box, and arms and a tail that pop out of the toilet paper tube. D is for dog is the same except he got 2 extra paws doodles on the bottom of the TP roll.
Here’s what you need for the dog:
- 1 toilet paper roll
- Scissors
- Single hole punch
- Pencil
- Sharpie marker
- Glue
- Cereal box (I use this to make the head of the dog!)
- White scrap paper
When drawing the keads of my TP creatures I always think about them in simple shapes. For instance the dog head is just 3 ovals. I use a pencil and doodle it on the back of the cereal box and then go over the pencil with Sharpie marker. Then jsut erase the extra pencil lines before you cut it out.
Interesting dog facts:
- A dogs sense of smell is 1 million times stronger than ours!
- Puppies are born blind, deaf, and without teeth. They open their eyes around 10 days old, and develop hearing around 18 days old.
- Dogs went to space before humans! Laika, a Russian dog, orbited the earth in Sputnik in 1957.
