For years I hosted a series on C.R.A.F.T. every January called Share the Love where my blog friends would share free printable Valentines. Together we created a collection of 50 free printable Valentines! This toy car Valentine was created 7 years ago by my Houston blog bestie, Taylor, at Taylormade Creates. Taylor has 2 boys and whipped up this quick, easy car Valentine back when her babies were in preschool.
Here’s what you need to make car Valentines
- Card stock
- Toy cars
- Washi tape
- Free printable Valentine
- Printer
- Scissors
How to make car Valentines
This is a super easy and kid approved Valentine. I also really appreciate that it is not a sugary treat! Here’s another similar free printable version of the car Valentine that says “I wheelie like being yoru friend!”
Step 1- Buy toy cars
Taylor found these neon cars and trucks at the dollar store for 12 for $1 – score! I have not had as much luck at the Dollar Store, but here is an awesome deal on a pack of 20 cars and trucks on Amazon. Sometimes Hot Wheels go on sale around Christmas and last year I scooped up enough for my son’s class. I made this toy car Valentine that can easily be taped to the outside of a Hot Wheels package.
Step 2- Download the free printable
Next, download the “I wheelie like you Valentine” printable, just enter your name and email address below and the free .pdf file will be delivered to your inbox! The toy car Valentines come 6 to a page and all say, “I wheelie like you Valentine!”
Step 3- Trim
After you get the Valentines printed, use scissors to cut around each card.
Step 4- Attach toy car
Next, use a small piece of washi tape to attach the toy car to the Valentine. You could easily use double sided stick tape or even a small dot of hot glue.
Step 5- Address Valentines
Finally, it’s the kiddos turn to do the work! Have the child write his or her name on the bottom of each card.

Is there any way to reduce the number of cards to four per page…they’re really tiny even when scaled to fit a page.

It only worked in Google Chrome for me*
I inserted the jpeg file into a PowerPoint slide. I was able to customize it by adding text boxes with my sons name. Love this little valentine. Thanks for letting us have this for free!!!
